Chief Femi Otedola is a well known billionaire in Nigeria. He is a business mogul, serial entrepreneur and philanthropist. He is a Yoruba man who was born in Ibadan, Oyo state on the 4th of November, 1962. His Father, Late Michael Otedola, was the Governor of Lagos State between 1992 and 1993. The name of his mother who was also the First lady of Lagos State is Lady Doja Otedola.He is married to Nana Otedola. He has four children namely: Tolani Otedola (singer), Florence Otedola (Dj Cuppy), Temi Otedola (actress) and Fewa Otedola. He attended the Olivet Baptist High School and then went further to the Obafemi Awolowo University,Ile Ife,Osun State.
Femi Otedola was a former chairman of Forte Oil Plc now known as Ardova Plc. It is an Oil& Gas company where he owned majority of the shares before he sold it in 2019. He founded Zenon Petroleum & Gas Ltd in 2003 and he is the Chief Executive Officer. Zenon Petroleum &Gas Ltd is an oil and gas company with huge storage and retail outlets in the country. He also established Centre Force Ltd in 1994, it is an enterprise that specializes in finance, investment and trading. He owns Swift Insurance, FO properties Ltd and he is identified as the largest shareholder of First Bank Plc.
Femi Otedola is also the chief executive and president of Seaforce Shipping Company Ltd. Moving further, he is the founder of of Geregu Power Plant, and FO transport limited. In 2007, he was appointed as the chairman of Transcorp Hilton Hotel.
In 2004, he was a committee member of the South Africa Commercial Leadership Community and was appointed to Nigeria’s National Economic Management Team in 2011. He was also a non executive director of Transnational Corporation Nigeria from 2006-2011.
